Victoria Dock Bridge is a pedestrian foot bridge to be built in the Docklands, East London. Designed at Stanton Williams Architects the bridge has a covered walkway along its length, apart from the floating section at it centre which opens to allows boats to pass. Using the predominant wind direction to dictate its path; the bridge follows a flowing arch deigned to protect pedestrians from the wind and rain. This model is an SLS 3D print CAD’ed in Rhino at 1:500 scale. The context of the model and the water have been laser cut and mitered on a table saw. Made in January 2015.
